The American Dream

This trip is to be an examination of several themes. Principle among these is the secular religion us Americans call the American Dream. City on a Hill, Franklin's rolls, Pilgrims Progress, all the way to Hearst and Steve jobs. What is the feasibility of this idea? How do the cultural and racial variations throughout this country affect the American Dream? Of course all of this scholarly discourse will be tempered with a great deal of humor and tomfoolery.
